The Redmen TV – Match Preview: Liverpool vs Norwich City

Anfield

19:45, Wednesday

Wednesday’s match is the centrepiece of a busy week for both sides and Liverpool and Norwich City both have much reason to look forward to the match. The Reds find themselves in indifferent form and suffered a shock defeat away to Hull City on Sunday –having slipped to 4th within a very tight group, they will be keen to re-assert their top-four credentials. Norwich occupy 14th and have picked up crucial wins against West Ham and Crystal Palace in recent weeks – the Canaries will be keen to generate some momentum ahead of a busy run that sees them face a number of teams nearby in the table. The clubs surrounding Liverpool will all be expecting victories this mid-week and so it’s crucial for Brendan Rodgers’ side to maintain their excellent home form –supporters will be expectant after the Manager spoke insistently about the importance of bouncing back from the weekend’s defeat. Chris Hughton, conversely, will be aware that many of the sides nearby in the table are likely to drop points this weekend –supporters will know that a victory could potentially take them to 11thbut, given their form on the road and Liverpool’s desire to avenge both performance and result against Hull, would no doubt be delighted to return to Norfolk with a point.
